Hyperness
If only I could bottle up my daughters energy I could sale it and make a fourtune. I don't have a clue as to where she gets this energy from. She has had no sugar or soda. She did just get done eating a taco though and is sitting here singing at the top of her lungs while banging on a zylophone. Someone should really think about doing a study on hyperness in children. I would love to have half the energy she has. Minus the annoying qualities of screaming at the top of my lungs.
Thirst
I've been reading Christopher Pike's Thirst (no 1 and 2). The series started out good but as I contine reading each book in the series the story lines gets stupider. The series is about a 5000 year old vampire who only kills to keep her secret from circulation. Alysa believes she is the last vampire on earth. She kills a private detective who was trying to black mail her then fell in love with his 17 year old son Ray. Ray was forced into leaving his life behind because Alysa was afraid that who ever was after her would go after him as well. It turns out that person who is after them is a vampire. The same vampire who forced Alysa (Sita) away from her husband and infant daughter and turned her into a vampire, Yaksha. Yaksha forces Alysa (Sita) to turn Ray into a vampire to save his life from a deadly fall Yaksha forced him to indure. In the end as Ray and Alysa try to escape with their lives from an exploation, Yaksha throws a stake into Alysa's back, right through her heart. In the end Yaksha dies, Ray is alive and Alysa barely survives. From there on the story gets weirder and crazier. Turns out Yaksha didn't die and then Ray dies. Alysa is forced to turn an FBI agent Joel to save him from certain death only to have him killed off. Then Alyssa runs into an ex-boyfriend from 500 years ago who at first she doesnt recognize. He dies in an exploation with Joel. Alysa then returns to the Las Vegas home of her ex and using his experiments, she turns herself into a human. From there she gets help from her friend Seymore, whom she used her vampire blood to save him from AIDS. She is forced to kill two men who try to rape and kill her on the beach. She goes to a coffee shop where Ray walks through the door, human Ray. Alysa is shocked but happy to see him. They go into hiding in a LA suburb where 6 months later she finds out she is pregnant and meets a new friend, who is also pregnant. Alysa's pregnancy only last around a week until she gives birth to a baby girl she names Kalika. Kalika reached full grown adult in two weeks time. Kalika is more than a vampire or human. Kalika goes after Alysa's friends baby. Alysa does everything she can to save them. She gives her firend money and tells her to leave and not tell her where she is going. Then Alysa goes back to Las Vegas to turn herself back into a vampire and sees a picture of her and her ex sitting on the counter. Realization hits her. Kalika looks nothing like Ray, but everything like Arturo. Ray is waiting for her and she realizes the reasons Ray never leaves the house, never meets her friends. Ray is a figment of her human imagination invoked from the trauma she suffered as a human having to suffer from killing two men who tried to rape her. She conquers her fear and turns herself back into a vampire and goes after her daughter who is trying to kill her friends baby. You see why the story line looses people? Its so irratic. He's dead, shes'd dead, oh wait he's not dead. Oh yes he is dead. How many times can someone die and come back? All I know for sure is that I have to finish the story out and read the last book in the series. Hopefully this book will explain all the mysteries the others held. If you like mystery, these book holds alot of mystery to them. You never know whats going to pop up around the corner or whos going to show up again. As far as vampire books go, its not as great or as good as so many others out there. That would be the reason as to why Im on the fence about suggesting this book to anyone. All I can do is give my opinion and let others decide for themselves. Keep in mind that this is only my opinion of the books and that everyone has the right to their own opinions.

Trials and tribulations of a sick person
I went to the doctor today because i've spent the last few days sick. Turns out I have some virus and apparently passed it on to my DH. Not like I meant too. Basically I left with a prescription for an anti-nausia pill and strict diet orders. The diet is called 'the brat diet'. Banannas, applesause and rice. NOTHING else. Nothing spicy or even more solid for the next few days. On the plus side, that means more weight loss. On the negative, do you know how hard thats going to be once the vommiting stops? EXTREMELY because I love to eat. I decided I needed to go to walmart after for toilet paper. What a mistake that was! With the construction the traffic getting in and out of the parking lot is horridous not to mention the inside "improvements". I swear its the last time I try to brave walmart when I feel this bad. It took an hour for a trip that shoul have took ten minutes max! The entrance at the stop light was blocked off so everyone had to use the other entrance which blocked atlot of traffic. Everyone was irritable. So if you don't have to go to walmart in Visalia....DON'T. Not until they get the road construction finished. What was worse is that there wasnt one road worker in sight. It really gets to me when its working hours and theres no one in sight or when there is they're all just standing around talking and laughing. Hello people! You can't get work done that way! After walmart I had to go by Rite-Aide on the way home to get my precription. I took a back way and well I shouldn't have. I ran into yet more road contruction. Atleast they were doing their job and working. When I get to Rite-Aide the girl had to hunt down my prescription. She was going to give me one for my inhailer and I had to explain to her that wasnt the prescription called in that it was he anti-naisia meds. They're just plain dumb at this Rite-Aide. I was going to buy DH his icecream but there were only two checkouts, one didnt even have her light on and the other was an very slow person. Although she is a very nice lady and I enjoy talking to her. The young girl who never tirns her light on is rude. I mean to the point I've almost asked for the manager on several occasions. There were so many people trying to check out that I didn't bother with buying ice-cream. I wasn't feeling good enough to stand there for fifteen minutes. On the way home some guy in a white honda tried rear ending me on three occassion. It basically was just not my day. I understand that my feelings of anger or aggrivation were intensified by the fact that I'm sick, which is exactly why I refused to act or say a thing. Thankfully I am at home now and am going to rest up. I just pray this passes soon.

Venting and stewing
I'm sitting here stewing over events from this past weekend. I live in the middle of nowhere and yet our neighbors stereo kept me up all night friday night. Those neighbors were a little over a mile away. Seriously rude of them. I understand it was 4th of July weekend but at 1am the music shouldn't be getting louder. Not only that, they were blaring meriachi music. Peoples taste in music are none of my business but how does meriachi music celebrate the Independance of the United States of America? I don't know and not sure I really care. All I know is it kept me up all night. Around 1am when I'd finnaly reached my breaking point, I called the sheriffs. Yes, I did. I'm the type of person that you can push and push and I won't let it bother me until I've hit that limit. That limit happens to be very large unfortunately. Then yesterday on the way home on the freeway we get stuck behind a drunk driver. Seems to be a frequent accurance for us. They were swirving so badly that they came close to hitting the guardrail on several occassions. We couldn't pass them because they also kept swirving into our lane. Not so much fun. We got their license plate number before they turned off and tracked down a sherrif and highway patrol who also had someone else pulled over and unformed them of the drunk driver. Not only that we were having electrical issues with our vehicle on the way home. Luckily we made it home without any accidents or injurries. I don't understand why people get in the car and drive drunk. It's amazing the stupidity and craziness that accurrs in my life. Thats not even my own stupidity or craziness. I always try to treat others how I would like to be treated, or atleast try too. The problem that I keep running across is that no one else applies that rule to life. All they care about is their own selves. So why do I keep trying? It must be ingrained into me to the point that I can't help but be polite to others. I have to look at it as a gift from God because he knows as well as I do that I was never taught to have morals or a good outlook on life. After taking a personality test in phycology my teacher told me that I have one of those rare personalities that sponges up all the good. That even though I was raised in a horrible environment my personality wouldn't conform to it or break. I forget now what she had said it was called and I thought it was peculair at the time. I used to think it was cool and a blessing but there are times that I think its a curse. People are always walking over me. If someone forgets to pay me for something or a loan I gave them I just write it off. I can't confront them even if I need the money. It takes alot to get me into a confrontation. I have to be going through multipule stress levels and at my breaking point. Its deffinately a curse at times. Anyway time to stop venting and get off my soapbox.

The embarassing little things...
My DD who is a little over 2 years old does thing that are just down right embarrasing. When she was younger it was acceptable, even adorable depending on what she did. She has started the copy cat phase. So when we slip up and say a bad word she in return repeats it. We calming explain to her that we were wrong for saying it and whatever words we used and that she shouldn't ever say then. Last night when we were checking out at the grocery store out of nowhere she says "oh sh!t". I was so embarrased. I was also shocked into silence. All I could do was stare at her. Today we were eating out at the Riverway in three-rivers where she met another little girl who was her age. They became fast friends running around the table together and playing. They even hugged eachother, it was so adorable. When it was time for the little girl to go home with her family my DD threw a HUGE fit. I mean a nuclear bomb big! She tried to follow and when we explained it was time for her to leave she threw herself down on the ground and started bawling. We're talking real tears and screams. "Wait come back, come back" she screamed as well as "no no no no". You'd think my DD had never seen another little kid in her life. We had to pick her up calm her down and it was so embarrasing. Thank heavens there werent many people there at the time. When we got back to where my BIL and SIL and their friends were camping to go swimming she pooped in her bathing suit. She had only been in it five minutes. I was so mad. The reason I was mad is because we've been trying to potty train her for months now. It was even going very well, one accident a day sometimes none. Then one day she just decided she didn't want to be a big girl and wear underware or use the potty. So back to diapers. I get her all cleaned up and we head out and go swimming in the river. We get back, litterally just walked onto the camp site and I procede to change her and put a diaper on her and she squats and pees right there in front of everyone on the outdoors carpet. I was fumming mad and so embarrased. After cleaning up and changing her we head out and go home. It wouldn't be that bad if it was one incident here and there but one after another everytime we take her out it down right bad. I know shes only two and these things are going to happen. I understand that and accept that but there is a line that can be all too easily crossed and its being crossed. I feel like theres only so much punnishing you can do before you just throw up your hands and give up. Its either her or me thats going to be broken and unfortunately its looking like me. As of today I took her fruitsnacks away, only giving them to her when she uses the potty. Next on my list is her toys. When she acts out i'm just going to start taking them away from her. Theres really not much more I can do because cartoons are so limited now as it is. The tv in her room is maybe on once a week for an hour at a time. She only gets cartoons in the early mornings when she first gets up before I take over the tv. So in a sense i'm at my wits end but I know there are still options left to try out. The best thing I have found to do to deal with the stress of a two year old is to take a few deep breathes when i'm ready to freak out and tell myself that today is almost over that tomarrow will be better.

Tonight im being a sneaky chef mommie! Im boiling some broccolli and then ill chop it finely and add it to my DD's rice tonight with dinner. Ofcourse I could smother it with cheese sauce but its not as healthy that way. Boiled broccolli is also great in mac and cheese. My 2 year old doesnt like too many vegies so im forced to be sneaky with them :)
Don't let anyone fool you, country isn't as quiet & blissful as people like to make you believe! I know because I live in the country. I hear people partying & blaring loud stereos from atleast a mile away. Because they "live in the country" they blare music until the early morning hours. Loud music isn't the only annoyance, dogs and coyotes barking and howling at night. Last night they tried to out do each other. We also seem to attract other people animals. We've had dogs, cats, rooster, chickens, cows & horses stumble onto the property as well as everything wild. I have the decentcy to keep my pets from wondering so I know its not that hard of a job. If these people would actually feed their pets then they would go searching for food. Throughout the night there are also the wind turbines that get turned to to fight against frost & extreme heat. Those turbines are loud suckers. They sound like hellicopters are landing on your house. We also get the peoplo who think their cool riding their dirt bikes & quads at 4am waking us up. So dont let anyone fool you, its louder out here in the boonies than the house I lived at in the city.
